Three officers responded to a 911 call from  Thomas Geness of his wife giving birth at their home on Lafayette Avenue at 3:15 a.m. Friday, July 19, according to Suffolk County Police.

The officers arrived and assisted Christine Geness, the full term expectant mother, who gave birth to a baby girl at approximately 3:23 a.m., according to police.

Christine Geness, 37, and her newborn daughter were transported to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown by Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps in good condition, said police.
